Mezilesí has a clearly documented historical starting point: the village is first mentioned in written sources on 30 August 1403.

History and Culture

The Memorial to the Czechoslovak Legionnaires 1914–1920 in Mezilesí displays uniforms, equipment, personal belongings and weapons of Czechoslovak legionnaires in Russia from the period between 1914 and 1920. The exhibition can be visited without a guided tour; visitors may ask questions.

The older history of the village is also documented in specific records: ten weavers are recorded in Mezilesí for the year 1757. A stone cross dating from 1840 also stands by the road below the inn in Mezilesí.

In the wider region around Mezilesí are the castles Ścinawka Górna - Renaissance Manor and Gorzanów - Palace.

Nature and Trails

The mountains Sedloňovský vrch, Orlica, Gomoła and Grodziec are located around Mezilesí.

The route „Podél Olešenky do Pekla a na sendražskou rozhlednu“ runs from Sendraž along the road to Mezilesí and is not suitable for cyclists. For bicycles, the 24-kilometre route „Novoměstsko z rozhledny Na Vartě“ is moderately difficult and suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes. After Bydlo, it continues for another 1 km to Mezilesí and then follows road III/28522 towards Sendraž.
