Jasenná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The dominant landmark of Jasenná is the Church of St. George. The first historically documented written mention of the church dates back to 1352. It contains a late Gothic polygonal stone baptismal font from 1521. It is currently a branch church of the Josefov parish, and services are held there regularly.

Culture and History

The war memorial to the victims of the First World War stands in the park in front of Jasenná Primary School. It dates from 1922 and is a sandstone ensemble featuring a Russian legionnaire and a lion. There is also an iron crucifix from 1865–1866 on the road by the park in front of the primary school.

At the intersection near house no. 249 in Jasenná stands a partially sunken sandstone cross. It is considered to be an atonement cross or a Cyril and Methodius cross.

Landscape and Bodies of Water

At 295 m, Balcarák is the highest point in the cadastral area of Jasenná. From there, there are extensive views of the surrounding area as well as the Orlické Mountains and the Krkonoše Mountains.

There are a total of 12 ponds and water reservoirs in the cadastral area of Jasenná. The Jasenský stream flows through the whole of Jasenná; in some sections it runs through culverts and in others through open, paved channels.

Jasenná lies on a Class III road leading from Jaroměř to Český Meziříčí, Opočno and Dobruška.
