Culture and History

The Městské muzeum is housed in the former Wenke department store, built in 1911; the building has been a national cultural monument since 2017. Following a reconstruction completed in March 2023, the museum offers modern interactive exhibitions.

The Železniční muzeum Výtopna Jaroměř is housed in a former locomotive shed for steam locomotives in the immediate vicinity of Jaroměř railway station and can be reached from the station via a footpath. The Železniční muzeum presents permanent exhibitions on locomotive sheds, steam locomotives, electric locomotives, handcars, railway cranes and railway cars.

During events such as the Night of Churches and European Heritage Days, the Chrám sv. Mikuláše is open to the public. The Lázně church is located in the wider regional surroundings of Jaroměř.

The Muzeum magie displays a collection of magical objects; visitors can walk through a maze there.

Nature and Open Landscapes

Ptačí park Josefovské louky offers information boards, an educational trail, an observation point and rest areas near the Josefov Fortress by Jaroměř. The park is open daily and admission is free.

The Záchranná stanice ČSOP in Jaroměř offers guided excursions on request.

Libiny [Jaroměř - Semonice] is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Jaroměř. (Borový) [Rožnov] is a hill in the surroundings of Jaroměř, as are Za Kostelem [Velichovky] and Prašivka [Habřina].
