Heřmánkovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

In Heřmánkovice stands the Church of All Saints (Kostel Všech svatých), an important Baroque building in the Broumovsko region and a landmark of Heřmánkovice and the surrounding landscape. The present church was built between 1722 and 1726 on the site of a wooden church dating from the 14th century. Together with its grounds, it is a national cultural monument and is regarded as a striking example of High Baroque and Empire styles: the building has an elongated octagonal floor plan, a prismatic tower with rounded corners, a narrow presbytery and a sacristy.

The interior also preserves characteristic details. The church features a ceiling painting depicting a view of heaven, complemented by depictions of the four Evangelists and angels in elliptical wreaths. This ceiling painting was created in 1736 by the Broumov painter Johann Hausdorf. In front of the church there is also a Calvary group dating from around 1800. Two reconciliation crosses stand by the cemetery wall in Heřmánkovice.

As part of the Open Churches 2026 programme, the church tours planned for August at the Church of All Saints (Kostel Všech svatých) in Heřmánkovice were cancelled because reconstruction was announced to begin on 1 August 2026.

Activities

Between Heřmánkovice and Janovičky lies Koupálo Janovičky, a sports complex on the site of a former swimming pool. Sled dog races are held annually in Janovičky. The Janovičky ski resort offers more than one kilometre of artificially snow-covered ski slopes that are groomed daily. The facilities also include ski equipment rental, a ski school, a buffet, toilets and free parking.

A blue-marked hiking trail leads through Janovičky over the ridge of the Javoří hory to the Janovičky–Gluszyca tourist border crossing. The Vyhlídkový přejezd Javořích hor cycling route runs through Janovičky and Heřmánkovice.

The surroundings of Heřmánkovice are home to Zamek Rogowiec Castle, Ścinawka Górna Castle - Renesansowy dwór, Špičák Mountain, Supí Hnízdo Mountain, Waligóra Mountain and the Muchołapka monument. In the wider regional area lies Grodno Zagórze śl Castle - Zamek muzeum.
