Dvůr Králové Nad Labem: Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Schulzovy sady City Park, the Parkem Schulzovy sady educational trail runs for more than 750 metres. Interactive elements introduce visitors to Czech wildlife and plant life. The educational trail is also suitable for walks with prams and for school trips.

Na Felčarské cestě is a two-kilometre circular trail that leads from the lower gate of the city cemetery along the cemetery to the “U Landů” forester’s lodge and back through the forest to the starting point. The educational trail has ten stations with informative and interactive elements.

Údolím Hartského potoka is a nature-focused educational circular trail of less than two kilometres in length that begins at the gate of the municipal hospital. Information panels are combined with games, a jumping pit and a seating area by a campfire site. The Na Stráni educational trail uses information panels and interactive elements to explain which animals and plants occur in the forest and its surroundings and how people should behave in nature.

Stezky Dvorem a okolím comprises eight routes of varying lengths and difficulty levels for walking, walking dogs, running and family outings with prams. The accompanying map shows the marked routes with elevation profiles and QR codes, as well as recommendations for their suitability in hot summer weather and after rain.

Cycling

The exhibition on the history of bicycles in Žireč displays historic bicycles and velocipedes, including bicycles from the First Republic as well as wartime and racing bicycles. At the bicycle exhibition, visitors can try a penny-farthing trainer or rent a rickshaw for a ride through the park. The Elbe Cycle Route runs through the Baroque complex in Žireč.

Culture and History

The Bitva u Dvora Králové nad Labem educational trail provides information about the street fighting between Austrian and Prussian troops in 1866 in Dvůr Králové nad Labem. It is 29 kilometres long and includes 16 stations and two branches.

The historical exhibition at the Městské muzeum Dvůr Králové nad Labem covers the history of Dvůr Králové nad Labem and the textile industry of the Královédvorsko region. The Church of St John the Baptist is a Gothic church built on the site of an earlier Romanesque church.
