Zirec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Žireč offers everything from a history of sacred music and botanical trails to the history of cycling. This local character is complemented by a cycle path from Kuks and several named elevations in the surrounding area.

Culture

The Church of St. Anne houses an organ made in 1829 by Johann Antonín Barth from Dolní Olešnice. It is the last surviving organ by this maker that is suitable for concert performances. The Church of St. Anne can be visited with an audio guide or as part of a guided tour.

The Cyklomuzeum in Žireč is the largest bicycle museum in the Czech Republic. It documents the development of cycling from its beginnings to the present day.

Botanical Trails and Park

The Via botanica begins in the Bylinkárium of the Areál sv. Josefa and connects eleven botanically exceptional sites. The park in the Areál sv. Josefa is open to everyone year-round. There, visitors can see coniferous and deciduous trees from Asia as well as North and South America.

The herb garden in the Areál Žireč offers medicinal plants, perennials, and ornamental and fruit plants for sale.

Cycle Path and Surroundings

A usable cycle path leads from Kuks to Žireč. The hills “(Betlém [Hřibojedy])”, “Hřibojedský vrch [Hřibojedy]”, and “(Končiny) [Dubenec]” are located in the immediate vicinity of Městys Žireč. The hill “Morava [Lanžov]” is located in the surrounding area of Městys Žireč. The church “Lázně” is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Městys Žireč.
