Pilníkov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Cesta za vyhlídkou trail through the peaceful foothill landscape of the Krkonoše Mountains in Pilníkov leads to a viewpoint overlooking the surrounding area. The Cesta za vyhlídkou educational trail is suitable for families with children and for holidaymakers seeking relaxation, and can be completed without significant effort.

Nature and trails

The Na Spravedlnosti viewpoint above Pilníkov features a panorama map of the eastern Krkonoše Mountains and offers views of the Krkonoše panorama. The local waterways are also clearly identified: the Mlýnský, Prkenný, Starobucký, Vlčický and Volanovský streams flow into and form the Pilníkovský stream.

The Pilníkov–Vlčice–Hrádeček–Chotěvice–Kocléřov–Pilníkov cycling tour is suitable for recreational cyclists, more experienced cyclists and families with e-bikes.

Culture and monuments

The Pilníkov urban heritage conservation zone includes the sculptural group of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Kostel Nejsvětější Trojice is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

Festivals and local traditions

Since 2016, with the exception of the COVID pandemic period, the Pilníkovský masopust has been held annually as a traditional event. At the Pilníkovský masopust, stalls offer masopust pastries and traditional home-slaughter products, including jelítka, tlačenka, bread with lard, prdelačka and ovar.

The traditional Pilníkovská pouť takes place together with Children's Day and was announced for Saturday, 6 June 2026, from 1:30 p.m. It includes fairground rides and competitions for children; discounted fares for the rides were also planned for this announced event. The Pilníkovská pouť also includes a competition for the best fairground pastry.
