History and Architectural Heritage

T. G. Masaryk visited Trotina on 10 July 1926. The monument with the bust of T. Masaryk in Trotina was reconstructed in 2011.

Trotina is home to typical buildings of the folk architecture of Podkrkonoší. Končiny is the southern part of Trotina, and the remains of the former “u Pourů” mill are located there. Of the two former mills in Končiny, the first was a fine example of folk architecture.

A stone cross with an enclosure stands near the centre of Trotina, close to house number 31. The inscription “Nákladem obce Trotiny 1881” is attached to the stone cross.

The Trotina stream rises near a former inn. The surrounding forests of Trotina offer opportunities for walks.

Trotina has bus connections to Dvůr Králové nad Labem and Miletín. The village is located away from the main route between Hořice and Dvůr Králové nad Labem.
