Lanzov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Lanžov, a protected church complex, a partially preserved estate, an outdoor swimming pool and cycling routes come together.

Culture and History

The protected complex of the Church of Saint Bartholomew in Lanžov includes an ossuary, an enclosing wall and two brick gates. The church preserves a profiled portal from the original Romanesque church, which was built around 1230. The complex also includes a five-sided chapel of Saint Apolena dating from 1804; the church also houses a tin baptismal font from 1555. A column-shaped wayside cross dating from 1684 stands immediately next to the church.

At the cemetery in Lanžov, the cemetery gate bears reliefs of Štefanik, Rašín and Švehla. The cemetery chapel and entrance gate were listed as protected monuments in 1992. The property with the cemetery chapel is privately owned. The chapel was built by the Czeczinkar family from Birnice, the owners of the estate and castle in neighbouring Bílé Poličany.

Červený Dvůr was built next to the former Červené Poličany fortress and is the only partially preserved estate in the municipality of Lanžov.

Nature and Cycling Routes

Lanžov outdoor swimming pool has a large 50 m-long pool divided into areas of different depths, as well as a smaller pool with a depth of approximately 50 cm.

From Kemp Lanžov, cyclists can access one of the cycling routes directly and ride either into the hilly Podzvičinsko landscape or the flat Polabí landscape. The 13 km-long Velichovky–Vilantice–Chotěborky–Sedlec–Miřejov–Lanžov–Dubenec route leads from the spa town of Velichovky to the pillory in Lanžov.
