Kohoutov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Kohoutov stands out for its distinctive wetlands: The areas not yet destroyed by land reclamation create an extraordinary environment found in only a few places in the Czech Republic. The Kladrubský potok flows naturally through the valley around which Kohoutov is situated; increased humidity accumulates there. Snowdrops begin to bloom in Kohoutov in March.
Culture
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands in the village. It was originally built as a school chapel in 1752 and was converted into a Baroque church building in 1788. Since 25 July 1994, it has been protected as an immovable cultural monument. The Baroque building of the former School No. 74 is also a protected monument; it houses the Keramické studio Jarmily Tyrnerové.
Events
The Lidová řemesla festival takes place in Kohoutov every year on the second Saturday in August. Editions of this event are recorded for the years 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
