Borovnička is a stop on the Cesta kamene, which connects important sites of stone extraction and processing in the Podkrkonoší region.
Landscape and Trails
The widely scattered buildings of Borovnička are located predominantly in the valley of the Borecký potok, a right-bank tributary of the Labe. A green-marked hiking trail runs through the village. Cycle route No. 4135 also passes through Borovnička; a forest rest area was established alongside it in 2020.

Borovnička has a railway stop. The village is also served by buses.
Culture
Construction of the Church of the Divine Heart of the Lord, also called the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, began in 1928; it was consecrated in 1933. The church was built in the pseudo-Gothic style and is a prominent landmark of Borovnička.
The monument to the fallen of the First World War in Borovnička bears the names of 55 war victims. It was completely destroyed and restored by the municipality in 2021.
The group of statues of the Holy Trinity near the school in Borovnička bears an inscription from 1891 and a restoration inscription from 1904. The Červený kříž cross in Borovnička commemorates the municipality of Vidovice, which was burned down by the Swedes during the Thirty Years' War.
History
In the 19th century, flax was grown in the area around Borovnička and was combed, spun, and woven.
Linhartův mlýn a pila are already shown on the map from the First Military Survey of 1764–1768. They were rebuilt in 1926 and renovated again in 2006.
Near Klebš, on the edge of the forest, there is a group of statues of John the Baptist with a biblical verse in German and an inscription dating from 1863.
