The first written references to Debrné date from 1260. The history of the now non-existent Bradlo Castle is particularly impressive: it was built by the Teutonic Order. Clear traces have also remained of the former municipality of Debrné. A large part of its former area is covered by overgrown ruins of houses. These ruins also include the remains of the Chapel of St John the Baptist.

Those interested in history in the landscape will find further notable evidence around Debrné. Dozens of structures belonging to the Czechoslovak pre-war fortifications are located on the ridges and slopes of the surrounding hills. These scattered structures add a more recent historical layer to the view of the older settlement history.
