Souvrať: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Souvrať is an agriculturally oriented settlement with scattered rural development. The village lies in the Východočeská křída CHOPAV area and in the outer protection zone PHO 2 for public drinking-water sources.

Landscape

The rural character of the village is shaped by its scattered development. A hiking trail passes through Souvrať along forest and meadow paths through a landscape of foothills chalets to Mostek.

Culture

In the vicinity of Souvrať stands the cemetery chapel of St. Anne, a historicist building from the early 20th century. In 1909, Countess Anna Deymová donated the land for the cemetery and the Chapel of St. Anne on the road from Mostek to Souvrať.

In Souvrať there is a cross on a sandstone pedestal with a relief of Our Lady of Sorrows, dated 1793. The tall Souvrať cross made of white sandstone has a niche containing a relief of the Virgin Mary. The lower part of its pedestal features a relief depicting a view into the Holy Sepulchre, while biblical texts are inscribed on the sides of the pedestal.

The sandstone cross in Dvořačky dates from the late 19th century and bears the signature of the sculptor G. Staffa. It also bears a biblical text in Schwabacher script.

History

At the beginning of the 20th century, Souvrať was an administrative municipality for Mostek and the surrounding settlements of Josefská Výšina and Dvořařky; a municipal office and a school were located there.

Hiking Trails

A hiking route in the vicinity of Souvrať allows for a detour to Les Království Reservoir covering approximately 6 km, followed by a return to Souvrať along the same route. To return to Mostek, you can take a bus or train from Dvůr Králové.
