Prosečné lies in an elongated valley that is forested on both sides. The village is located in the foothills of the Giant Mountains, the Podkrkonoší region, and at the same time in the immediate vicinity of the Giant Mountains. Its character is shaped by agriculture while also being geared towards recreation.

In the central part of Prosečné, the Suchý potok flows into the Malé Labe from the west. At the southern edge of Prosečné, the Malé Labe joins the Elbe.
Culture and History
According to the available sources, the first mentions of Prosečné date back to 1342. The local church in Prosečné was built from 1898 to 1904. The Diocese of Hradec Králové also lists a filial church of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary.
Among the notable works of art is the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. It is a Late Baroque sculptural depiction in a composition with simple pillar architecture. Since 2015, the statue has been located at its present site; previously, it stood by house number 62.
