Dubenec combines evidence of its local history with trails and named landscape features in the immediate and wider surroundings. The Church of St. Joseph was founded in 1343 and is now a defining landmark of Dubenec.

The architectural heritage includes the listed log house No. 40 in Dubenec, with its exterior cladding and gable. A chapel stands in Dubenec beside the road to Hvězda; it was built in 1720 by Pastor Böhm.

The Hudební léto Chotěborky festival offers concerts in historic churches in Chotěborky and Dubenec.
