Prkenný Dul: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

At Rybník Prkenný Důl, visitors have access to a rowing boat, two rope swings and a barefoot trail. There is also a fire pit with firewood and an outdoor table, which are suitable for family picnics; swimming is also possible.

History

The Sněžný potok in Prkenný Důl once powered wood-processing sawmills, several mills and a paper factory.

Winter sports

The Arrakis ski resort is located at the easternmost edge of the Krkonoše Mountains, 1 km below the town of Žacléř. It has slopes of all difficulty levels, which are artificially snow-covered and groomed.

The slopes at Family SkiPark Bret are suitable for beginners and moderately advanced skiers, also offer evening skiing and are open to snowboarders. Family SkiPark Bret also has a children's winter park with a conveyor belt and offers snow tubing.

Routes

The KRNAP cycle route 26D runs from Prkenný Důl via the U Černého mostu turn-off and the Černomostecká cesta to Rýchorský kříž.

From the mountain station of the ski slope, cross-country skiers can continue along the Krkonošská lyžařská cesta ridge trail towards Pomezní boudy and Sněžka.

Culture

The Chapel of St. Anne is a late Baroque, single-storey square building in the form of a bell tower. Its roof combines a mansard roof and a bell roof with bevelled edges.

St. Anne's Chapel in Prkenný Důl was built in 1843 and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958.
