Sibřina: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Sibřina has a documented history, with its first recorded mention dating back to 1197. Historical ownership, archaeological traces and distinctive small structures give the village a multifaceted character.

History

Before 1492, Sibřina, the manor farm and the rest of the estate came into the possession of Václav Tluksa of Vrábí, owner of the fortress in Dřevčice. In 1589, Sibřina was transferred to Jaroslav Smiřický of Smiřice and Kostelec nad Černými Lesy.

The period before the medieval records is also represented in the cadastral area: archaeological finds attest to several Celtic settlements that were used from the 3rd to the 1st century BC.

Structures and Memorials

The pseudo-Gothic bell tower in Sibřina dates from the second half of the 19th century; the year 1867 is displayed on the structure. On the village square in Stupice stand a protected heritage cross and a bell tower dating from 1826. The cross in Stupice bears an inscription from 1826 naming P. Rautenkran and the municipality of Stupice.

Customs and Seasonal Events

The 2026 Masopust in Sibřina was announced as its 25th edition. At the 2026 Masopust, meat dishes, pastries and traditional Masopust drinks were offered.

On Christmas Eve, visitors can light candles with the Bethlehem Light at the chapel in Sibřina. The Bethlehem Light can also be lit at the Advent spiral at Palouček in Sibřina, in front of SOSÁK.

Due to the lack of tourist signage, Sibřina can be reached by road from Újezd nad Lesy, Prague-Koloděje, Kralovice, Křenice, Sluštice and Květnice.
