Všestary: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Všestary can be explored through tangible traces of its history and a signposted cycling route. The smírčí kámen is a red sandstone slab with a carved cross and spear. Today, it is built into the left corner of the fire station’s foundation. It is associated with a killing that is said to have taken place in 1585.

Culture and History

A memorial to the fallen of the First World War on Všestary village square commemorates seventeen people listed by name. The cemetery chapel includes an autopsy room and a mortuary. The first written mention of the Kříž u hřbitova dates from 1908. At the cross by the cemetery chapel, Kříž u hřbitova, five roads branched off towards Všestary, Světice, Tehov, Otice and Všechromy.

Cycling

The “Do Prahy na kole” cycling route runs from Mnichovice via Všestary, Světice and Říčany to the Prague districts of Kolovraty and Královice. Its third section runs through the cadastral areas of Všestary and Strančice and is 2,733 m long in total. Yellow tourist signs with a bicycle symbol and route number 0026 mark the route. There are rest areas, information boards and “ladovské” signposts along the cycling route. It is also suitable for ordinary trips and can be used for bicycle traffic between municipalities.
