Lhotka-Ostrovec: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Lhotka was first mentioned in 1362. The history of the village is reflected in a manor house, a chapel and several mills, while the municipality and landscape provide further specific points of interest.

Culture and history

The small manor house in Lhotka burned down completely in 1888. The Chapel of St. Adalbert was built in 1734 and renovated in 2012. It is a Baroque, brick-built pilgrimage chapel the size of a small church, located about 850 metres southwest of the village of Lhotka.

Several mills add to the historical landmarks. In 1714, Jankovský mlýn belonged to the Zbiroh estate and previously to Podmokly in the Křivoklát estate. The timber-framed Ostrovecký (Zímův) mlýn is located about 600 metres west of the village centre. Kalousův mlýn, also known as Papírna, was established at the beginning of the 19th century and is located at Ostrovec-Lhotka 30 in Lhotka.

Nature and landscape

Lhotka is part of the municipality of Ostrovec-Lhotka, which lies in a recreational area. The municipality of Ostrovec-Lhotka, which includes Lhotka, lies in the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The Zbirožský stream is the watercourse associated with Ostrovec-Lhotka.

The Kohoutov National Nature Reserve lies about four kilometres east of Ostrovec-Lhotka. The Lípa Nature Reserve is located in the northwestern part of the Ostrovec-Lhotka cadastral area.

Village character

Lhotka has a general store and a pub. Lhotka includes 80 recreational properties, most of which were built in the picturesque valley of the Zbirožský stream.
