Pustověty: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Pustověty lies in a deeply incised, gorge-like valley of the Rakovnický potok, amid the Křivoklátské forests and on the edge of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The scenic features of Pustověty also include the picturesque Pustovětské údolí.

Nature

The location combines several defining landscape features: the wooded surroundings of the Křivoklátské forests, the valley of the Rakovnický potok, and Pustovětské údolí as part of the area's scenic features.

Culture and village character

In the centre of Pustověty stands the former water mill No. 7. The water mill was probably originally Late Baroque and was remodelled in the Neoclassical style. A significant part of the historic technical equipment has been preserved in the mill at Pustověty, in the mill room.

The historic village centre preserves a group of large farmsteads and agricultural homesteads on a raised spur above the meander of the Rakovnický potok. The village character also includes a Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1723 by M. B. Braun, as well as the war memorial. It was erected in the 1920s and is a distinctive feature of the village green.

Routes and activities

Several cycling and hiking trails pass through Pustověty. A red-marked KČT hiking route is designated for Pustověty; the “Vůně dýmu a jehličí” educational trail is also designated for Pustověty.

Pustověty has the Pustověty railway stop on the single-track, non-electrified line No. 174 between Beroun and Rakovník. The multi-purpose sports field is available to local residents and visitors from elsewhere. It has goals for small-sided football, volleyball and tennis posts with nets, and a basketball facility.
