Nová Ves Pod Pleší: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The historic buildings of Nová Ves pod Pleší include the Na Pleši Sanatorium complex. The Neo-Baroque building, with Art Nouveau influences, was constructed between 1908 and 1916, is listed as a cultural monument, and has been protected as a heritage site since November 1989.

Culture and Townscape

The wooden house at No. 18 has been protected as a heritage site since 1975 and is listed as a cultural monument. It is considered a traditional example of the folk architecture of the Příbram region from the second half of the 18th century and retains its original floor plan as well as numerous original structural elements. The chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk, with its small bell turret, is also part of the historic townscape. It was built in 1842 and still stands in Nová Ves pod Pleší today.

A chestnut avenue was planted in the centre of Nová Ves pod Pleší in 1881. The garden area of the Na Pleši Sanatorium is laid out as a Neo-Baroque formal garden.

A distinctive facet of the town’s history is presented by the Trabant Museum. It was founded by Míla Foukner and officially opened on 1 July 2017. The museum displays Dan Přibáň’s yellow Trabants; it also covers Trabantcross races, among other topics. The Trabant Museum has seasonal opening hours: in May, June, September and October, visits are possible from Monday to Friday by telephone appointment.

Cycling

The “Krajem luk a lesů” circular cycle route is classified as moderately difficult. The green “Krajem luk a lesů” circular cycle route passes through Nová Ves pod Pleší.

In the forest near the Na Pleši Sanatorium stands Národní muka, a four-metre-high column carved from a block of sandstone. It commemorates the suffering of the Czech nation.
