Hrimezdice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Hřiměždice is located in the immediate vicinity of the Slapy Reservoir. The Hřiměždice quarry, also known as Kujalův, is situated on the northeastern edge of the village. Its history is closely linked to diving: the first major diving course took place there in 1959 under the direction of experienced instructors who had gained their experience in Germany. SVAZARM also established a training centre for military and police divers at the quarry.
Water and quarry
The Hřiměždice quarry continues to be a popular destination for numerous divers. Since 2000, the Highjump event, featuring jumps into the water, has been held there annually around the turn of July and August. Since 2001, there has also been a large swing at the quarry, at the former location of the helicopter.
Culture and history
Hřiměždice Château is a simple single-storey building in the Classical Baroque style and was first mentioned in 1788. The Church of St Anne was built in 1797. It has a single nave and features a presbytery closed on three sides on the exterior, as well as a tower with a bell roof. Part of its interior furnishings comes from the former Pauline monastery in Obořiště.
Near the church stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk on the bridge over the stream that flows through the municipality.
