Nová Telib: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Nová Telib is a place where the townscape and landscape are closely interconnected. Historical details, wooded highlands and signposted trails shape the various facets of the village.
Culture and History
The protected heritage ensemble includes a wooden bell tower of the gable type and a niche chapel. The niche chapel in Nová Telib stands beneath a mature lime tree; the bell tower is located about two metres to the east. A new bell dedicated to Saint Peter, weighing 18 kilograms, was cast for it. Several timber-framed vernacular buildings continue to form part of Nová Telib’s traditional townscape.
The dating of the niche chapel is also complex: it may date from the 16th century, while the expressive quality of its sculptures points to a time of origin around the middle of the 18th century. The oldest owner of the original settlement of Nová Telib is documented in writing as early as 1378 and 1390.
Landscape
Nová Telib lies in the Dolnojizerská tabule on a plateau at the end of the valley of the Žerčický potok stream. At the same time, the village is situated in a broad depression above the stream’s source area and between predominantly wooded, rounded ridges. The municipality lies on the southern slopes of the Chloumecký hřbet.
The surrounding Chlum Nature Park gives Nová Telib a peaceful setting with coniferous and deciduous forests. To the north, Telib, at 322 metres above sea level, is the highest point near Nová Telib.
Hiking and Cycling
A blue-marked hiking trail runs via Mladá Boleslav, Holé Vrchy, Dolánky, Kladěruby, Nová Telib and Lhotky. Through Nová Telib, it passes through the nature park in the summit area and along the slopes of the Chloumecký hřbet.
A mountain-bike route also connects the village to a longer route: the route “MB_Nova Telib_Jabkenice_MB” begins in Mladá Boleslav and runs via Plazy, Nová Telib, Domousnice, Jabkenice, Dražice and Krnsko.
Transport
Bus route 260980 runs on weekdays from Mladá Boleslav via Nová Telib and Kobylnice to Žerčice; it operates five services in each direction. Small public parking areas are located by the inn in the village centre.

The traditional celebration “HÁZENÍ KOZLA” is documented in Nová Telib for 17 July 2021.
