Rokytovec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rokytovec's documented history dates back to 1322. At that time, Mikota from Rokytovec was mentioned. In 1556, Václav Procek of Cetně had the Rokytovec fortress built.

History

After the Rokytovec fortress lost its importance, it was probably demolished or converted into a granary. A cellar from the former fortress may have been preserved in the centrally located granary. The building is 8.5 metres wide and 24.5 metres long; its older section measures 17.5 metres.

Culture

The Rokytovec theatre backdrop was painted in 1920 and is entitled „Meeting of Villagers with the Muses“. It was created by the academic painter Karel Boháček. The performances by Rokytovec's amateur dramatics group also attracted an audience: they were well attended by locals and people from the surrounding area.

Sports and Events

The Rokytovec nohejbal tournament is a sporting event for active leisure and takes place at the local sports field and the clubhouse complex. The 23rd edition was scheduled for 5 September 2026 at 7:30 a.m. at the sports field and clubhouse complex in Rokytovec.

Landscape

Rokytovec is surrounded by fields on three sides. To the northwest lies a flat woodland through which the Řehnický stream flows.
