Mšecké Žehrovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Celtic stone head from Mšecké Žehrovice was found in 1943 in a sand quarry in the cadastral area of the municipality and dates from the 3rd century BC. Mšecké Žehrovice is also home to the Na Libeni archaeological site, which is classified as an important archaeological locality containing remains of settlements, fortifications and cult sites.

At the southern edge of the village square in Mšecké Žehrovice, near a small pond, stands the Church of St. Martin. It acquired its present Baroque appearance in 1774. The building has a rectangular nave, a pentagonal presbytery and a sacristy.

Nature

The Louky v oboře Libeň nature reserve was first designated on 16 June 1989. It lies in the immediate vicinity of Mšecké Žehrovice and protects wet meadows and plant communities on white slopes.

The Pozdeňský les [Mšec] mountain lies in the immediate vicinity of Mšecké Žehrovice. The Loustín and Džbán mountains are also located in the surrounding area. Mount Tuchonín lies in the wider regional surroundings of Mšecké Žehrovice.
