Václavy is located on the eastern edge of the Jesenicko Nature Park, at the transition from the intensively farmed landscape of the Rakovník Basin to the wooded landscape of Jesenicko.

Nature and landscape

The Řeřišský stream rises in the area of Václavy. The registered important landscape feature Zavidov–Václavy comprises a wet meadow with a forest-steppe character, pastures, alders, and a grove.

In the cadastral area of Václavy, there is an upper pond directly at the source area of a stream. A lower pond is located on the road to Řeřichy.

History and regional destinations

The oldest reconciliation cross in Jedlina Forest dates from the 17th century.

V Jedlinách is a hill in the vicinity of Václavy. Hokovský vrch, another hill, is also located nearby.

In the wider region around Václavy are Týřov, a ruin, and Zřícenina Pravda, a castle ruin. This wider region also includes Loustín and Džbán, both mountains, as well as Svatý Prokop, a monument, and U Svatého Gotharda, a church.

Public passenger transport is provided by buses, with a stop in the centre of Václavy.
