Líský is located in Džbán Nature Park. The Vápnomilný bor u Líského area protects calcareous forest-steppe pine forests and is designated as a Natura 2000 European site, CZ0210726. It was first designated on 3 November 2009, and covers 4.0755 hectares.

Nature

The small orchid creeping lady's-tresses (smrkovník plazivý, Goodyera repens) grows in the Vápnomilný bor u Líského area. It has a relatively large and thriving population there. Rare specimens of the purple orchid (vstavač nachový), a European woodland orchid, also grow on Líská stráň. A visit around mid-May is recommended for observing the orchids on Líská stráň.

Viewpoints and Trails

A marked trail leads from the centre of the village to the Líský Lookout Tower, which is about 700 metres away. The lookout tower is a 38-metre-high steel structure with an observation platform 25 metres above the ground, accessible via 141 steps. From the Líský Lookout Tower, views extend across the Kladensko, Louny, Rakovnicko and part of the České středohoří region.

Culture and Legends

The Královka spring and its chapel are located in a birch grove on a hill several hundred metres north of Líský. The Královka Chapel above the spring is registered as an immovable cultural monument. The Královka spring is associated with a legend according to which Eliška Přemyslovna hid the keys to the Bohemian Crown Jewels there while fleeing from her husband.
