Krcmy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Krčmy is situated on a hill. The village is associated with historic routes, regional music history, and the nearby natural monument Rybníček u Studeného.

Culture and History

Krčmy is also locally known as “U tří pošťáků”. In the past, the village marked the border of three districts. A fortress is documented in Lhotice as early as 1363.

A cultural highlight is Zámek Růžkovy Lhotice: as part of its exhibition, it offers educational programmes and guided tours with commentary. The exhibition “Kraj tónů” explores the musical history of the Podblanicko region and, among other things, commemorates Bedřich Smetana’s stay in Růžkovy Lhotice from 1835 to 1843. Zámek Růžkovy Lhotice was opened to the public in 1984 with the exhibition “Hudební tradice Podblanicka”; in 2014, the new exhibition “Kraj tónů” opened there.

Cycling and Hiking Trails

Several specifically named routes pass through or lead towards Krčmy. The “Za hudbou do Růžkových Lhotic” route is intended for trekking and road bikes on roads and starts in Čechtice. Cycling route 0084 follows a paved road through the forest and through the Krčmy settlement. One excursion led from Krčmy to Růžkovy Lhotice along a well-maintained asphalt road.

Parish hikes also include the village. One led from Čechtice via Černičí and Bažantnice towards Růžkovy Lhotice and then through Krčmy. On another parish hike, the route led downhill from Krčmy to Chyšná.

The sporting event “Strnadova třicítka” includes an approximately 30-kilometre individual time trial on the road around Růžkovy Lhotice; there is also a race for children of around 10 kilometres.

Nature

The nearby natural monument Rybníček u Studeného is known for its rich stands of bog arum (Calla palustris).
