Krakov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Krakov’s spacious village green is one of the municipality’s most significant attractions.

Culture

Krakov is first mentioned in writing during the reign of King John of Luxembourg. A document issued by Albrecht von Kolowrat in 1450 records older privileges that Bohemian rulers had granted to the owners of Krakov and Krakovec.

Krakov’s present-day inn is located in a listed building. The former U Bendlů inn at house number 41 was converted into a restaurant and two municipal apartments.

Landscape

The ruins of Týřov are located near Krakov. In the immediate vicinity of Krakov are Krakov Hill, Ovčín Hill [Krakovec u Rakovníka] and Soudný vrch Hill [Krakovec u Rakovníka].

Mount Loustín and the ruins of Pravda are located in the wider regional surroundings of Krakov. This wider regional area also includes the U Svatého Gotharda Church and the U Svatého Petra Church.

Events

Krakov’s events programme includes the children’s event “In the Footsteps of the Knight Brtník”; on 24 August 2024, this child-friendly event led through the forests and meadows from Krakov to Krakovec. The Staročeské máje festivities are also part of the events programme.
