Dobřeň: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dobřeň is a village heritage reserve featuring an ensemble of folk architecture. At the same time, the village is one of the villages in the Kokořínsko region designated as village heritage reserves.

Culture and Villagescape

The village chapel of Dobřeň stands in the eastern part of the village, approximately in the middle of a park-like village green. It is a square, plastered masonry chapel with a round-arched entrance and windows, a domed roof and a wooden bell turret, dating from the first third of the 19th century.

The Dobřeň Crucifixion relief is a folk-art work from the 18th century. It depicts Christ on the cross as well as the Virgin Mary, Saint John and Mary Magdalene.

Nature

The Kokořínský důl Nature Reserve also includes the cadastral area of Dobřeň. The Kokořínský důl area designated for Dobřeň comprises geomorphologically varied sandstone terrain with canyon-like valleys, rock terraces and smaller rock cities, as well as extensive wetlands of exceptional natural significance. These include springs, bodies of water, the Pšovka and its tributaries, reed beds and sedge marshes, wet meadows, as well as wetland scrub and alder-ash floodplain forests.

Dobřeň is home to a small-leaved lime tree designated as a natural monument, with a trunk circumference of 478 cm and a height of 16 m; it is one of the largest specimens in the Kokořínsko region.

Things to Do

Jestřebice falls within the administrative area of Dobřeň and is designated as a village heritage zone. The Jestřebické Pokličky in Jestřebice are sandstone formations created by differing degrees of weathering. They are considered a particularly typical example of a remarkable phenomenon preserved in this form only in the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area.

Cycle Route 0012 passes through Dobřeň. The Jestřebické Pokličky lie directly on a green-marked hiking trail and Cycle Route 0012.
