Adamov U Tupadel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Adamov is one of the oldest workers’ settlements in the Czech Republic. The village was founded in 1784 by Jan Adam Auersperg for workers at the nearby spinning mill in Tupadly.

History and Village Character

Adamov was built practically in the forest, and most of the houses were made of wood. In winter, the first residents also worked in forestry. The former inn No. 19 also bears witness to the village’s earlier history: it is the oldest building in Adamov and is around 200 years old. Adamov also has a simple bell tower dating from 1919.

Culture and Local Traditions

Adamov’s local cultural programme includes the Silvestrovský pochod, which took place in Adamov in 2022. The Adamovské koulení and Posvícenská zábava were held together.

Landscape and Surroundings

Zámek Kačina is a château in the surroundings of Adamov. Krkanka, a mountain, is also located nearby. The mountains Bučina and Ostojovka [Ledeč nad Sázavou-Souboř] are situated in the wider regional surroundings of Adamov. The hill (Mokřiny) [Bratčice u Potěh] is located in the immediate vicinity of Adamov.
