Vlastejovice: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Sázava flows through Vlastějovice. To the northeast of the town, Mount Fiolník, also known as Fialník, rises to 526 metres.

Nature

At Fiolník above Vlastějovice, a magnetite deposit contained more than 60 % iron. Fiolník is characterised by its natural wealth. The Sázava is 218 km long, of which 208 km is navigable, although not all year round.

History and Culture

Vlastějovice (Wlastyegowicz) was first mentioned in 1413 as a village belonging to the parish of Pertoltice. On 1 February 1540, Vlastějovice was elevated to the status of a market town.

Dům s kaplí was built as a 16th-century fortress and converted into a Baroque château after 1689. Dům s kaplí is a cultural monument in Vlastějovice. A low building with the Baroque Chapel of Saint Mary Magdalene has been preserved from the château.

A Gothic mining church stood on Mount Fiolník north of Vlastějovice; it was dissolved during the Josephine reforms.

Activities

The Posázavská cycle route No. 19 runs through Vlastějovice. In the immediate vicinity, a 2 km-long cycle route leads from Vlastějovice towards Budčice to a weir with seating and refreshment facilities. There is a boat rental service at the weir near Budčice.

There is a drinking-water spring on the road from Vlastějovice towards Pertoltice. The Posázavská cycle route No. 19 runs along the section of road from Vlastějovice towards Pertoltice; the spring offers an opportunity to have a refreshment and rest.

Fishing is possible on the Sázava in Vlastějovice. The SÁZAVA 10 fishing grounds, managed by MO ČRS Vlastějovice and bearing the fishing-ground number 411 081, extend from the weir at Březina near Vlastějovice to the mill weir in Chřenovice; the section is 8 km long and covers 28 ha.
