Schořov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Schořov, the centrally located octagonal Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands on a hill near the village. Its pyramid roof is crowned by a polygonal lantern. The chapel was built in 1697 by Barbora z Pottingů.

Culture

In the forest next to the chapel near Schořov is the hunting lodge “Schořovský lovecký zámeček”. A chimney and fragmentary masonry are all that remain of the original hunting lodge. The Zámek Kačina chateau is also located in the vicinity of Schořov.

Routes and Activities

A traditional pilgrimage on foot to Schořov took place on 11 May 2024. A marked hiking trail from Čáslav passes through Schořov and then continues to Tisá skála. The hiking route from Golčův Jeníkov to Čáslav leads from Tisá skála through Schořov and onward to the Tupadly crossroads.

Cycle Route 0117 also passes through Schořov. Schořov Pond serves as a traditional fishing ground for its members.

The mixed tree avenue near Schořov is dominated by chestnut trees. The hill of Mokřiny [Bratčice u Potěh] lies in the immediate vicinity of Schořov, while Mount Krkanka is located in the vicinity of the village.
