Archaeology and Architectural Heritage

Gdinj has prehistoric burial mounds and stone tombs. The Vela Gomila burial mound is located about 300 metres from Gdinj; the finds include pottery shards, a bronze ring and part of a dagger. Its size and the artefacts are interpreted as an indication of an origin in the Bronze Age. Gdinj also includes complexes of stone houses with courtyards, olive groves and vineyards, as well as several churches and chapels.
