History

Pozo Aledo emerged as one of the numerous hamlets in the Campo de Cartagena founded between the 16th and 18th centuries. The disappeared Torre Octavio was located in Pozo Aledo. The title of the same name was elevated from viscountcy to the Marquesado de Torre Octavio in 1795 and belonged to the Vinader Corvari Salucio del Poyo family.

Part of present-day Pozo Aledo is said to have once been an estate owned by Luisa de Aledo. This traditional connection adds a personal property history to the local history without altering the earlier character of this statement.
