Los Belones can be discovered through specific cultural and natural sites. These include the parish church of San Isidro Labrador, the archaeological site of La Fuente, and several hiking trails leading towards Calblanque, Cala Reona, and Atamaría. The events calendar also includes a pilgrimage in May and the festivities of San Isidro.

Culture

The church of San Isidro Labrador stands in the town and is considered to be of artistic value. It was restored in 1991 and has been a parish church since January 3, 1893. South of Los Belones, on the lower slope of Cabezo de la Fuente, lies the catalogued archaeological site of La Fuente. It is located 1.5 kilometers south of the town and is crossed by a footpath. La Fuente is associated with the extraction and supply of water for the settlements of El Rango, El Corralón, and El Montillo on the nearby terraces.

The events calendar also refers to the local culture. In May, the series of events begins with a pilgrimage to Cabezo de la Fuente. The festivities of San Isidro highlight an exhibition of Encaje de Bolillos, the traditional lace made using bobbins.

Nature

The PR 1 hiking route connects Los Belones, Calblanque, and Cala Reona over approximately 10 kilometers. The main route takes 3 to 4 hours and is rated as easy. In addition, PR 1 offers an alternative circular route that leads from Los Belones via the Calblanque salt flats and Cobaticas back to Los Belones. Along its course, the route passes the Calblanque salt flats and the Rasall lakes. This is a bird-breeding area.

Another connection into the countryside is provided by the PR 2 Los Belones–Atamaría hiking route. It begins at the La Fuente spring near Los Belones and runs through protected ecosystems in the Calblanque–Peña del Águila area. At the La Fuente spring below the mountain peak of the same name, there is a road, parking, and water for refilling bottles. The Las Cobaticas visitor center is also located in the vicinity of Los Belones, at Las Cobaticas, s/n, 30385 Cobaticas, Cartagena.
