Aldeanueva de Cameros: Church Architecture, Dinosaur Footprints and Holiday Apartments

In the centre of Aldeanueva de Cameros stands the Iglesia parroquial de Santa María del Valle, a parish church built of masonry in the 16th century. The footprints visible there date from the Mesozoic Era and are more than 100 million years old. They were formed in a marshy area and shaped by subsequent geological movements. Around 50 bipedal footprints of carnivorous dinosaurs can be seen at the site; there are also several tracks made by herbivores. It is possible that a track attributed to a crocodile can also be seen there.
