El Fresno – Church, Landscape and Holiday Apartments

In El Fresno stands the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, designed in the Neoclassical style. It was built at the beginning of the 19th century over an earlier hermitage dedicated to the Virgen del Socorro. The church has rubble-masonry walls with ashlar reinforcements at the corners, as well as a brick bell gable with three openings for the bells and five stone decorative pinnacles.

El Fresno lies in the Valle Amblés on the right bank of the Río Adaja.

Geographical Location

The northern entrance to El Fresno via the AV-P-402 road, which branches off from the N-110, crosses the Río Adaja over an existing bridge with five spans and a length of almost 20 metres.
