Festivals and cuisine
The Fiesta del Cocido de Lalín is one of Galicia’s international festivals of tourist interest. The Mes del Cocido de Lalín takes place from mid-January to mid-February. The Cocido de Lalín includes cuts of pork such as lacón, pig’s ear, ribs and chorizos. It is accompanied by cachelos, grelos and/or cabbage.
On the main day of the Fiesta del Cocido de Lalín, the Carpa do Cocido opens on the Campo da Feira. On the main day, a parade with floats, comparsas and charangas makes its way through the streets of Lalín.
Museums and manor-house heritage
The Museo Municipal de Ramón María Aller Ulloa preserves the astronomer’s study in his former home. The collection preserved there includes furniture, instruments, documents, photographs and numerous books from his personal library.
