The Mirador de los Canchos offers views of an impressive, rugged natural landscape. Hiking and Nature Observation

The Camino Natural del Tajo passes through Serrejón, among other places. Stage 33 runs from Higuera de Albalat to Serrejón, reaching the town as the first municipality in Monfragüe National Park. On this stage, you can observe birds at the Anguila Reservoir. The Camino del Tajo leads to the Tagus River.

The PR-CC 67 Cerro de la Tejonera route begins in Serrejón. It is 20.4 kilometres long and is designed as an out-and-back route. It passes through dehesa landscapes, Mediterranean woodland and Mediterranean scrubland. The route offers opportunities to observe Spanish imperial eagles and cinereous vultures.

The route descriptions use different points of comparison: the trail format, landscapes and nature observation can each be considered separately. The distance of 20.4 kilometres and the out-and-back format give you two clear criteria for assessing the scope and structure of a day of hiking.

Culture

The Ermita de San Antonio stands in the upper part of Serrejón. It dates from the late 18th century and offers views of the surrounding landscape.

The Church of San Ildefonso stands in the centre of Serrejón. It dates from the period between the 15th and 18th centuries and features a distinctive tower, as well as several altarpieces and works of art.

On 23 January, Serrejón holds festivities in honour of San Ildefonso; on the first Sunday in May, the pilgrimage of the Santísima Virgen de la Oliva takes place.
