Cáceres: Old Town, Art and Birdwatching

Cáceres leads into an old town whose architecture combines Roman, Islamic, Northern European Gothic and Italian Renaissance styles. The 9-hectare urban ensemble is surrounded by a 1,174-metre-long wall. The walls of Cáceres are an exceptional testament to the fortifications built by the Almohads in Spain.

Culture

The Casa de los Caballos building houses a permanent exhibition featuring archaeological, pictorial, sculptural and craft exhibits from prehistory to the 18th century.
