Pallares is situated in a rugged landscape with lush vegetation. The village lies in the northern foothills of the Sierra Morena, in a gentle and fertile valley at an altitude of around 537 metres. The Gastro Ruta de Pallares is organised by the Hermandad de San Isidro de Pallares in cooperation with the Ayuntamiento de Montemolín, Pallares y Santa María. The parish church has a square floor plan, naves divided into three by three bays, nine similar spatial compartments, four central columns, and vaults with groins and lunettes.
