In L'Aldea, the Ruta 4 Torres leads to the town's four towers and is designated as a cycling route of moderate difficulty. The route is 29.37 kilometres long; approximately three hours are indicated for completing it.

Cycling and hiking trails

The Via Verda del Delta de l’Ebre follows a restored former railway line and can be travelled by bicycle or on foot. The L'Aldea–Lligallos section of the Via Verda del Delta de l’Ebre is 1,870 metres long. Along this section, the route passes a monument made from an old railway carriage, the tourist office, the former railway station building and a motorhome parking area. The first section of the Via Verda del Delta de l’Ebre begins at the car park on Plaça 1 d'Octubre next to the town hall. Further access points are available at the tourist office and the motorhome parking area. The specified route lengths and the stated duration provide a concrete framework for planning your day.

Market and culture

The Mercat Setmanal takes place every Wednesday. Its venue is Carrer Lluís Braille in the Plaça Estació area. The market offers clothing and food. The regular Wednesday date can be incorporated directly into your schedule.

The Ermita de la Mare de Deu de l'Aldea has been documented since the 12th century. It contains a 40 m² altarpiece. The altarpiece is considered one of the largest paintings in the Terres de l’Ebre. It was created by the painter Joan Rebull.

The Torre de la Candela is a defensive and watchtower that monitored the mouth of the Ebro. The tower stands on the left bank of the Ebro. The Coetera de Ravanals is protected as a cultural asset of national interest and belongs to the category of areas of ethnological interest.

The Torre de Burjassénia is a circular defensive tower approximately 14 to 16 metres high. It is located within a farm. The four medieval watchtowers of L'Aldea have been catalogued by the Generalitat de Catalunya as cultural assets of national interest.

Landscape and nature

The Eucaliptus Alt de Bernis has been catalogued by the Generalitat de Catalunya as a monumental tree and is 32 metres tall. The Ruta olivera mil·lenària is a moderately difficult hike. It leads to a thousand-year-old olive tree that was restored in 2019. The route can also be completed by mountain bike.

The ruins of Torre Benixarop are located in the northern dryland area of L'Aldea. The ruins offer panoramic views of the Ebro Delta.
