Culture
The parish church of Església de Sant Joan in El Lligallo del Gànguil is a modern building with a single nave. Its bell tower has an open structure with four pillars and a flat roof that protects the bell; above it there is a cross. The construction of the tower stands as an independent form beside the single nave.
Several museums are located in the surroundings of El Lligallo del Gànguil. The Museu de les Terres de l'Ebre is a museum in the surrounding area, as is the Centre d'Interpretació de la Setmana Santa. Palau Episcopal is also a museum in the surrounding area. Castle of Sant Joan / Suda is a castle in the vicinity of El Lligallo del Gànguil. The cultural attractions named here thus range from the modern church building in the village to museums and a castle in the nearby area.
Routes
El Lligallo del Gànguil is included in the L'Aldea–Camarles–Ampolla cycle tourism route through the Delta de l'Ebre Natural Park. The cycle tourism route follows a circular course along the former route of the Via Augusta. The historic road route is therefore part of the same circular course that runs through the natural park. For hikers, Stage 30 of the GR 92 is also relevant: it runs along the Canal Nou de Camarles through an agricultural rice-growing landscape and is suitable for beginners. For cycling and hiking routes, the current route conditions can be checked before setting out.
Nature
The landscape around El Lligallo del Gànguil includes not only the transition zone between dryland and irrigated land but also several beaches in the surrounding area. The beaches in the surrounding area include Platja Avellanes, Playa L'Ampolla, Platja Cap Roig, and Platja Perelló. The rice-growing landscape along the Canal Nou de Camarles refers to the agriculturally shaped landscape of the GR 92 stage.
