Cabra del Camp showcases its water-related heritage through numerous springs, including the springs of Sant Crist, Cabarrà, Salut, Creu del Gall, Conill and Fontscaldetes. The same network also includes a livestock watering trough, a washhouse, streams, bridges and an irrigation system that supplied the residents’ gardens. Culture and History

The Església de Santa Maria in Cabra del Camp is one of the official visitor attractions and dates from the 18th century. Cabra Castle is mentioned as early as 980. The present-day village was established following a relocation ordered by King Alfonso I in 1194; it was granted a settlement charter at that time.

The cooperative winery of Cabra del Camp dates from 1919 and was designed by Cèsar Martinell. Fontscaldetes, a depopulated settlement, lies within the municipality; its old church was recently restored. In the settlement of Mas del Plata within Cabra del Camp stands a ten-metre-high Mazinger Z sculpture. Historical dates, sacred architecture, a cooperative building and a sculpture can be viewed as different cultural points of reference.

Cabra del Camp thus brings together several traces of different periods and forms: the mention of the castle in 980, the relocation of the present-day village in 1194, the church from the 18th century and the winery from 1919. Fontscaldetes and Mas del Plata expand this picture with a depopulated settlement featuring a restored old church and a ten-metre-high Mazinger Z sculpture, respectively.
