In Almoster, the Festa de l’Oli has been held on the first Sunday in December since 1980. The Festa Major in honour of Sant Abdó and Sant Senén is celebrated on 30 July.

The programme for the Festa Major of Sant Abdó and Sant Senén lasts nine days and includes dances, a Correfoc, giants, theatre, children’s activities, a water festival and the Baixada d’Artefactes, among other events. The Seguici festiu d’Almoster takes place twice a year: during the Festa Major of Sant Abdó and Sant Senén and during the Festa Major de Sant Miquel. This festive procession includes the Ball de Diables with its Correfoc, the Sokarrat, the Ball de Gitanes, the Nans Abdó and Era, the Canaleta, and the giants Miquel and Àgata.
The Ball de Gitanes d’Almoster is a more recent addition to the local procession and is intended to enrich the local cultural heritage and revive a representative traditional Catalan dance. The Canaleta is a large cow figure inspired by Catalan working oxen and cows.
At the Festa Major of Almoster, the Baixada d’Artefactes reached its 35th edition in 2026. The Taller d’Artefactes in Almoster is aimed at people preparing for the Baixada d’Artefactes and wishing to build their own artefact for it. Art’s Almoster is a Catalan open-air festival for the performing arts.
History and Culture
The Església parroquial de Sant Miquel in Almoster is a BCIL dating from the 18th century. The present-day building of the Església de Sant Miquel was completed and blessed in 1704.

The Ruta del Barranc del Picarany passes through Mediterranean woodland. The Ruta del Mas del Víctor is suitable for all types of visitors and starts at the Camí de la Creueta. The Ruta de l’Aigua-sana is longer and more difficult than the Ruta del Mas del Víctor.
