Hiking on Historic Trails
A hiking route between Boldís Sobirà and Boldís Jussà follows the GR11 from Boldís Sobirà, leads along traditional paths and through woodland sections, and returns to Boldís Sobirà through a wooded section. The historic path between Boldís Jussà and Boldís Sobirà can be combined with the path on the sunny side, the GR11, enabling a circular hike between the two villages. The La Porta del Cel route passes through the centre of Boldís Sobirà and then continues along an old path to Tavascan.
Forest, Valleys and Mountain Views
The route to the Mirador del Bosc de Boldís leads from Boldís Sobirà along a forest track through a forest of Scots pines and firs to a viewpoint with impressive views over the valleys of Cardós. The Mirador del bosc de Boldís is a panoramic viewpoint connected to Boldís Jussà and Boldís Sobirà in the Vall de Cardós.
The hiking route from Boldís Sobirà to Tavascan follows a path with constant views over the valley, forests and mountain meadows. It passes old farmhouses and then descends to Tavascan. The hiking route to Pic de Tudela follows the GR11 from Boldís Sobirà to Pla de Tudela. During the ascent, it opens up views of the Vall de Ginestarre and the Vall de Cardós.
Church and Local History
The parish church of Sant Fruitós in Boldís Sobirà is dedicated to Saint Fructuosus. The Parròquia de Sant Fruitós de Boldís Sobirà was built in 1817 in a restrained, simple Neoclassical style. It has a single-nave layout with a lunette vault over three round-arched transverse arches, as well as a straight-ended chancel. Two Baroque altarpieces from former houses in the village are preserved in the Parròquia. One dates from 1703 and the other from 1711. Boldís Sobirà is documented in the will of Arnau de Prenyanosa from 1136. The deed of consecration of Sant Martí de Cardós from 1146 also documents Boldís Sobirà.
