Nature and Trails

The municipal programme “Rutes per descobrir Alpicat” suggests circular trails that combine experiences in nature, the discovery of various places in Alpicat and insights into smaller chapters of local history. The trail programme includes the theme “El regadiu. Canals, séquies i basses”. For the Ruta del Rec Nou, the municipality provides a GPX download. This download can be used to prepare for the route independently.

The trails therefore cover both the landscape and the history, as well as the water-related features of the municipality. The thematic title identifies canals, irrigation channels and basins as distinct elements of the trail programme. For the Ruta del Rec Nou, the digital route file supplements the description of the municipal offering with a specific tool for preparation.

Culture and History

The Església parroquial de Sant Bartomeu was built in the late 18th century in a transitional style. Its plain façade displays Baroque features, while the interior is designed in a more distinctly Neoclassical style. The building was constructed over a small Gothic church, of which only a few fragments of sculptures remain. The bell tower was reconstructed in 1988. It is octagonal and has a roof made of blue glazed ceramic tiles.

Cal Negre is a historic building of remarkable cultural value. It was built in 1741.

Sport and Water

The municipal Rocòdrom hosts instructional, competitive and school activities in sport climbing. The Rocòdrom is 10 metres high and has 500 climbing holds. The facility thus combines various forms of organised climbing with clearly stated dimensions and equipment.

The Piscines municipals consist of four swimming pools and feature a children's play area as well as a bar. During the summer season, swimming lessons and numerous recreational water activities take place there.

The orienteering event “Els Tossals d'Alpicat” reached its fourth edition in 2026.

Museums and Buildings in the Surrounding Area

The Fundació Sorigué, a museum, is located in the area around Alpicat. Font Del Clot, also a museum, is located in the same area. The Galería de Arte Terraferma, a museum, is likewise located in the area around Alpicat. La Seu Vella is located in the area around Alpicat and is a castle. The nearby cultural selection therefore includes three museums as well as a building classified as a castle.
