Santa Perpetua De Moguda: History, Industry and Nature
Roman production history, industrial development, historic buildings and extensive natural areas shape the themes of Santa Perpetua De Moguda. The Forn romà del camp d'en Ventura de l'Oller is a Roman pottery kiln from the late 1st century AD. It belonged to a Roman villa specialising in pottery production.
Culture and Industry
The Museu del Treball i la Indústria Viva (MTIV) explores the transformation from an agricultural society into an industrial society, as well as the development of work and its effects.
The MTIV is housed in the restored Vapor Aranyó, the only surviving textile factory in the centre of Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. The modernist Granja Soldevila is also part of the museum. The parish house of the church of Santa Maria de Santiga is likewise part of the MTIV. History
El barri i el Castell de Mogoda comprise a fortified masia dating from the 12th century. It served as the residence of the lords of Mogoda and as the seat of the Barony of Mogoda.
The Castell de Can Taió adds a later architectural accent. The castle is characterised by the Romantic style of the 19th century, and its construction continued until 1929. Thus, a fortified 12th-century masia and a Romantic-style castle completed in 1929 represent different historical periods. Nature
The Espai natural de Santiga is part of the Ruta Verda del Vallès and serves as a refuge for certain native plant and animal species of the region. The Parc Central covers approximately 80 hectares and has a restored irrigation pond that creates a new habitat. The pond forms a separate habitat within the park area.
