The beach of Sant Vicenç de Montalt is a straight stretch of coastline measuring 1,200 metres in length and 80 metres in average width. Coarse sand characterises the area, which is located in a residential neighbourhood outside the town centre.

Nature and Trails

The municipal Rutes Natura Local programme comprises six self-guided routes designed for walking or cycling.

As a signposted nature route, the Ruta de Les 3 Viles connects Sant Vicenç de Montalt, Caldes d'Estrac and Sant Andreu de Llavaneres. The route can be walked or cycled.

Tast de paisatge offers an opportunity to observe the landscape of regional food products during a walk. At the same time, edible elements in the surroundings of Sant Vicenç de Montalt can be identified.

The Ruta de l'Ull de serp is a trail where the surrounding rock formations can be discovered.

The third stage of the Central Axis of Maresme begins in the Parque Forestal de Mataró and leads via Cinco Sénias to Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Sant Vicenç de Montalt and Arenys de Munt.

The Maresme Coastal Axis is a tourist route that connects the seafront promenades of the region's coastal municipalities and is suitable for both walking and cycling.

An old water cistern was restored in 2003 in Parc dels Germans Gabrielistes. It once again carries water and feeds a small lake.

Parc dels Germans Gabrielistes is an almost four-hectare garden with native flora from the region, as well as particularly beautiful and interesting centuries-old trees.

Base Nàutica de Sant Vicenç de Montalt offers paddleboarding, kayaking, catamaran sailing, dinghy sailing and snorkelling.

The programme also includes private lessons, group activities and guided excursions for all skill levels.

Culture and History

Torre de Can Valls dates from the 18th century and was restored in the 1990s. The interior of Torre de Can Valls is not accessible.

The portal is entirely designed in the Renaissance style, dates from 1598 and was created by Pierre Balquer. A triangular pediment above fluted columns crowns the portal.

The building is a single-nave structure in the Late Gothic style.
